Shooting endangered wildlife in the face is not entertainment. We are calling for the immediate cancelation of the NRA-sponsored "Under Wild Skies", which airs on the NBC Sports Network.

In a recent episode of Under Wild Skies a hunter shot a, soon to be protected, elephant in the face two times. Unable to kill the elephant with two shots the film crew captured the suffering animal run from the hunter. The animal was later caught up with and put out of it's misery. Do the values of NBC really fall in line with this type of programming? The systemic hunting down of endangered animals on a program sponsored by the world leading pro-gun lobby.

There is a rich tradition of hunting but the irresponsible killing wildlife species that are seeing sharp global decline is unacceptable.

NBC Sports needs to be a network that celebrates sport without threatening a species' extinction and promoting violence.

Please cancel "Under Wild Skies" today.

Signed,

Stop Animal Cruelty

NBC is currently airing a television show that shows an elephant (protected from hunting in most countries on earth) being shot in the face two times. The film crew then continues to air the animal suffering as it runs away because the amateur hunter (NRA lobbyist, Tony Makris) was unable to "humanely" shoot and kill the african elephant.

We are asking NBC to cancel the show, help protect threatened wildlife around the world, and support responsible wildlife conservation.
