Sign the Petition to

Greg Suhr, San Francisco Chief of Police

San Francisco police officers clearly don't respect bicyclists. On August 21st during the morning rush-hour police Sergeant Richard Ernst knowing parked in the bicycle lane on one of the most dangerous streets in San Francisco and forced bicyclists into motor traffic. The officer, claiming that he had a "right" to be there seemed more concerned with making his point than he did with "protecting and serving" San Francisco residents. Please sign the petition asking for Sergeant Richard Ernst to be suspended for his behavior.

Signed,

Nick Magel

We demand that you publicly reprimand and suspend police Sergeant Richard Ernst for his behavior on August 21st, 2013.  We also demand that Sergeant Ernst be assigned to bicycle duty for one month so he understands how dangerous the streets are for cyclists.  Instead of "protecting and serving" he endangered innocent individuals by knowing forcing bicyclists into fast moving traffic during rush-hour by parking in the bicycle lane to prove his point.
