PLEASE take this pledge and reach out to Maryland governor Martin O'Malley via emails, phone calls and/or hard copy letters. We must act NOW. THE GOAL-to get Mr. O'Malley to sit down with Rebecca Corry face to face to discuss BSL (breed specific legislation) which is plain and simply put-DISCRIMINATION. The goal of this petition is to protect people and pets. To provide safe and humane communities for all living things. Pit Bull Terriers and all breeds abused and discriminated against are a direct reflection of a broken society. Banning the symptom is not the answer. Judging dogs and owners by their behavior NOT their appearance, implementing and enforcing laws that prevent reckless owners from owning dogs and providing funds to cities and counties to hire people to enforce animal abuse laws, are a few solutions. Presenting the governor with all of our signatures is not enough. Mr. O'Malley needs to our voices. The voices of the voiceless victims.
Politely, intelligently and passionately implore Mr. O'Malley ---
"Mr. O'Malley please meet with Rebecca Corry to discuss solutions that will end discrimination, violence and a nationwide epidemic. With your help we can be an example for the rest of the country and provide safe and humane communities for people and pets. Please be the historical change that will save lives and make our society a safer and better place for all living things." #wewillmarch
After that point is made, please feel free to share your stories, pictures of your Pibbles, POSITIVE images, how you've been touched by this breed and facts that support this cause. The more Mr. O'Malley knows, the better. Knowledge is everything and it is up to us to educate and never stop being their voice.
