A LITTER of dingo puppies have been euthanised after they were advertised for rehoming on Facebook.

Four dingo pups were removed from their den in bushland on a private property at Ingham on the weekend, with Townsville City Council notified of the resident's attempts to find homes for the pups yesterday.

Healthy City Safe City chairman Gary Eddiehausen said council seized two of the wild dogs from the man after being advised of the post by Biosecurity Queensland.

Did these pups need to be killed?

Was there not another option available?
