Sign the Petition to

Mr. Andrew Cuomo, Governor of New York

Dear Mr. Cuomo,

Attached is a Petition with signatures of people who have reviewed the case of Erick Westervelt, believe him to be innocent of the murder he is currently in prison for and would like for his case to be reviewed by a higher Court or even have you review his case and give him a full exoneration and release.  The police focused in on him immediately and although he voluntarily gave his DNA, his clothes from the night in question and his car to police, where they found no DNA of the victim, he was still convicted by a jury based simply on a false confession that he gave after hours of questioning by detectives with no lawyer present.  He had a solid alibi for that night as well but the police told him he could not leave until he confessed to the crime.  Being innocent, he actually believed that the confession would help to prove his innocence because the facts wouldn't match the crime.  This young man is innocent and was convicted without a single piece of physical evidence. There was also physical evidence at the crime scene the police did not collect which could have been tested for DNA to prove Erick's innocence.  Please review this case at www.ErickWestervelt.com and www.facebook.com/FreeErickWestervelt and help this young man regain his freedom as he is innocent of this crime.  Thank you for your time and attention to this very important matter.  A life is at stake here and you can help to free him.

Sincerely,

Michelle A. Crawford
