During the last week of May, Global Justice Ecology Project, the Campaign to STOP Genetically Engineered Trees, Earth First!, Dogwood Alliance and other environmental organizations staged the largest, most successful protests ever against the genetically engineered tree industry, in Asheville, NC.
However, several activists were arrested during the week for taking bold, dignified action, and they need your support.
The actions, which took place during the Tree Biotechnology 2013 conference - a major, international industry conference - sent a clear message of dedicated opposition to the GE tree industry.
Activists are facing unfair charges, and need your support now. If we can't develop a strong legal team and strategy quickly, several activists may face hefty fines, probation and possibly jail time. Please donate today to show your support.

On Thursday, May 30, three activists three activists were thrown to the ground by police and arrested after trying to wrap a bus full of conference attendees in 'GMO caution tape'.
They are now facing trumped up charges of resisting arrest.

Please contribute to our legal fund so we can ensure the best outcome for these brave activists as they navigate the legal system. They are facing lawyer and court fees, potential fines, and the cost of traveling back to Asheville for court.
