Sign the Petition to

Shirin Ebadi, 2003 Nobel Peace Prize Winner

We kindly request that you submit a nomination to the The Norwegian Nobel Committee for activist Irom Sharmila to receive a Nobel Peace Prize for her heroic nonviolent protest the past 12 years. As a past winner, you have the ability to submit a nomination for Irom. Since you were recognized for your great work on human rights, we ask that you show your support for Irom's fight against the Indian Army for their misuse of the extraordinary powers granted through the unjust Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA).

Signed,

Jade Kachina

Her campaign against the Armed Forces Special Powers Act has brought worldwide attention to the Indian Army's misuse of the extraordinary powers granted through this law.  Concerned human rights workers have accused troops of using the law to torture and kill suspects.  Sign the petition today to encourage past Nobel Peace Prize winner Shirin Ebadi to submit a nomination to the Nobel Committee for Irom Sharmila.
