How this will help

Undocumented immigrant individuals and families are facing tremendous challenges following the May 20, 2013, tornadoes that ravaged Moore and a number of smaller Oklahoma towns. Those on the ground here are working to collect the names and needs of the families affected. This is difficult since we are dealing with a community that is quite adept at slipping into the shadows and staying hidden. Many have taken shelter with family and friends.Weather has not been extremely cooperative either. You can help. Make a donation at Your donation will help these Oklahomans, who can't access most federal relief, begin putting their lives back together again. Your support will provide financial help to address needs like rebuilding assistance, temporary shelter, transportation, and food. This effort is being organized by First Unitarian Church of Oklahoma City, St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, and a group of immigration reform activists. 100% of your gift will first go towards meeting the needs of undocumented families in this time of crisis, with any funds that exceed this need going toward scholarships for undocumented students in Oklahoma.
