How this will help

The band have made a donation from merchandise sales 08/05/2013 Queen tribute band Almost Queen has been performing for over 8 years and in that time has gained the attention of Queen fans across the US, from Times Square in NYC to the coast of California, with a few international dates as well. The band is comprised of huge Queen fans, including Joseph Russo, who performs the role of Freddie Mercury. Joseph, a singer, actor, and pianist, has performed in numerous professional musical productions and spent many years touring Europe as the lead in the musical Hair before starting Almost Queen.   The band has just made a donation of £300 to the Mercury Phoenix Trust from the sale of Almost Queen merchandise at their shows and online. During their performances, they always mention their support for MPT and plan to make additional donations from future merchandise sales.   Almost Queen guitarist Steve Leonard said, "We are honored and fortunate to have the opportunity to perform the music of Queen for fans here in the US. Donating and spreading the word about MPT is a great way to share that fortune and raise awareness. It is a joy to make the music come alive for an audience who feel the same way about Queen as we do. Our show is comprised of all the expected hits, though we also like to fulfill our own personal requests and play deep cuts that are a thrill for diehard Queen fans - like our recent performance of the entire side one of the Sheer Heat Attack album."    The band are currently preparing for dates in the US this summer, which you can find on their web site   Almost Queen is   Joseph Russo as Freddie Mercury Steve Leonard as Brian May Randy Gregg as John Deacon John Cappadona as Roger Taylor
