Family and Consumer Sciences majors are invaluable to the communities in which they work and live. I disagree with plans to suspend Family and Consumer Sciences Education and the Graduate Program in FCS. They should remain open and be invested in to ensure that FCS professionals are trained to meet the demand for this vital field.
Alumni know the impact of these programs on the community. Your support will show the demand and support for FCS. Our programs are not expensive, and eliminating our program will likely mean the end of FCS programming in middle and high schools in NE Ohio. With teachers retiring, there will be no one trained to continue the programs. Your voice will make a difference.
