This is why Pennsylvania, USA governor Tom Corbett should be impeached and/or arrested now - if not on State charges in Pennsylvania, then on Federal charges - and if not on charges of violations of US or Pennsylvania State law, then by the International Court of Justice for violations of human rights and for turning a State government in the USA into an internationally harmful travesty:
Educator and coach Joe V. Paterno, born in Brooklyn, New York on December 21, 1926, earned an unparalleled record and reputation in his field of endeavor - college football coaching. He was the patriarch of a beautiful family. He built Penn State - not singlehandedly, but through a process of community consensus which was fed by the community spirit which he inculcated into the University and the town of State College, Pennsylvania - which really ought to be renamed "Joe, PA" in his honor. Joe Paterno, as of the start of November 2011, was in good health. His reputation was secure. He was, as of that time, still the head coach at Penn State. And most importantly, as of November of 2011, Joe Paterno was a law-abiding citizen in every way.
Then along comes ruthless political opportunist Tom Corbett, in the wake of the arrest of Jerry Sandusky; both backpedaling and trying to grandstand things, and playing prosecutor - although Corbett had already officially resigned his position as State Attorney General as of January 18, 2011, prior to taking the Oath of Office as Governor of Pennsylvania.
Everyone in the 21st century knows about cyberbullying, and that is exactly what Corbett did here - he led the media feeding frenzy of unfair and biased reporting. Corbett led a political witch-hunt against Paterno which cost State taxpayers and tuition paying students millions of dollars; and Corbett really did this for his own political benefit, and to take the heat off himself.
Corbett used his influence as a member of the Penn State Board of Trustees in this investigatory hoax; whereas Corbett should have recused himself from all Penn State Board of Trustees action having to do with the investigation in the Sandusky context - because Corbett, had a conflict of interest a mile wide...as a former Pennsylvania State Attorney General who dragged his heels in prosecuting Sandusky while Sandusky, although Corbett KNEW Sandusky was under investigation, still had access to the same Penn State facilities where the incidents were proven by a court of law to have taken place, until November of 2011, according to reports! Let's also remember that Sandusky is linked to Corbett by a chronology of campaign contributions. The excuses which Corbett provides for dragging his heels and never arresting Sandusky simply do not wash - not in the context of at least one other malicious arrest ordered by Corbett. In fact, Corbett was trying to use Joe Paterno's good reputation and revered legacy as a doormat, because of the fact that Corbett's own sorry record on child protection might have otherwise become a topic of public discussion. Tom Corbett not only has a long history of manipulation of the media, the facts, and the law; but Corbett has a history of unjustified, life-ruining defamation against good teachers, and Corbett's ruinous escapades are all under color of authority which is a wide-scale abuse of taxpayer resources.
Joe Paterno, some will say, was 85 years old when he died, so who cares, right?
Such an attitude is age- prejudiced - and that is an attitude which Tom Corbett (among others) has been playing up in recent years, shamefully.
Age-ism is the new racism of the 21st century - and demagogues such as Corbett who exploit this and prey on older people are not to be enabled, tolerated or uninvestigated for their crimes. Joe Paterno, seven weeks prior to his 85th birthday, had no indication of cancer; and had just been examined and scientifically determined to be cancer-free. . The cyberbullying attack against Joe Paterno, which was waged by a media witch-hunt led by Corbett for political motives best known to him, produced systemic shock in the physique of the tough, battle-scarred coach. The effects of this on his health were just as sudden as the attack on Paterno's reputation. If Paterno actually had been a wrongdoer, the attack would not have been so devastating as it was. However, to a person of good morals and innocent character, it is a fatally devastating thing to be held to account for "crimes" and other stigmatizing things when one has done no wrong - and an equally devastating thing to suddenly learn that the country you trusted all your life to be "one Nation, under God, with liberty and justice for all", is suddenly violating every facet of due process and fair standards. To any person, such a devastating attack and the resultant systemic shock could easily result in loss of the will to live, utter disgust with life, fear, confusion, paralysis of the will to resist, and - most importantly - lowered resistance and other symptoms of ill health (higher blood pressure, increased possibility of stroke, etc.) These are facts which medical experts can aver and testify under oath about.
To a man of Joe Paterno's age, the possibility of such harsh treatment resulting in the lowering of physical resistance and immunity to the point where cancer quickly develops and spreads from a non-factor to Stage Four in a matter of a few short weeks, is an increased possibility - and this is exactly how Joe Paterno died.
In today's 21st century technological environment, a computer in the wrong hands - especially when wielded by people cloaked with Government titles and working under color of authority - can be more dangerous than weaponry in the wrong hands; especially when such computer abuse is under color of authority.
We have seen the effects and the results of cyberbullying time after time - and what Tom Corbett did to Joe Paterno is a blatant, lethal instance of cyberbullying. . This sad, sudden demise of a revered educator has several aspects of coldhearted, calculated, cruel and craven MURDER, and it is one good example of why prosecutors should not be immune from being held accountable for shameful errors and deliberate defamations of the character of other people; especially people who have a prior clean record, and who have never done any actionable or aggressive harm to others.
There are other crimes which have been committed by the State of Pennsylvania at the behest or initiation of Tom Corbett. There are other unanswered questions, other victims of injustice, other investigations which have gone entirely the wrong way, and other coverups and complicities which range from courthouses, to defense attorneys to editorial boards of newspapers. But this may be the time and the place to begin to take down the powerful official who has reduced millions of good people in Pennsylvania to tears, over his detestable, Fascist political antics. The Paterno family has had no real closure regarding this issue, because justice has never been done. There are other families from one end of Pennsylvania to the other, who have also never had closure in their lesser well-known tragedies - tragedies which are just as horrible or perhaps even worse.
If Corbett can do this to Joe Paterno and to other revered educators in Pennsylvania, Corbett and his sick, truth-twisting prosecutorial cyberbullying machine can destroy anyone with impunity - and they have done this many times to the detriment of America and the world. The frameup of Scott Ritter is one example of this. There is another case in shamefully corrupt Pennsylvania, USA where prosecutors are trumping up a life-ruining case against a young single mother, claiming that she is "stalking" a felon father of her son; and claiming that she attacked a police officer when all she was doing was trying to feed her son! This is a typical Pennsylvania hoax!) . It is simply too un-Constitutional, too anti-American, and far too dangerous to the world to allow a public official of this standard Machiavellian mold to remain in power in America, after he has violated the Constitution repeatedly, and it is indeed interesting that there is no tendency in the Obama Administration for going after Government officials who violate the Constitution of the United States.
Pennsylvania Governor Tom W. Corbett should be prosecuted and impeached for many, many Constitution-shredding actions of his - but this personal ruination of Joe Paterno in his golden years is the most well known travesty of all. (The second-most well known may be this unanswered question: what happened to Ray Gricar!) And in trying Tom Corbett for any murders or manslaughters which he may have committed or conspired in, we, the people should afford to Tom Corbett more due process than his prosecutorial malevolence machine has afforded to Corbett's many victims.
In truth, everyone on the planet is a victim of the malevolence and fraudulent, extortionate pattern of behavior of the Tom Corbett administrations as Pennsylvania State Attorney General and now as Governor of the Keystone State; because of the environmental destruction wrought; because of the world-class cultural treasures of beautiful music forever destroyed at the hands of Corbett's corrupt Pennsylvania government, and due to the destruction of both public education and private quality education in the Cradle of Liberty.
Liberty, and the Law of the Land, are under attack in America by corrupt officials. The good people of the United States - indeed the good people of the whole world, need to raise an outcry NOW loud enough for officials in Washington and the most corrupt State capitals in the United States to hear, than the world will no longer tolerate official abuse of power in the United States or anywhere else.
