It is estimated that by 2024, tigers will be completely extinct from their natural habitats. There are less than 4,000 tigers that remain in the wild. At the start of the century, there were over 100,000 tigers in the wild:  the population has now dwindled to between 1,500 and 3,500.

Over the past 100 years, tigers have lost approximately 93% of their historic range. Major reasons for population decline includes habitat destruction, climate change,  and cruel poaching all contributed by human activities.

The odds are stacked high against tigers. Illegal wildlife trade has violently robbed the few vulnerable tigers remaining in this world to be used as trinkets, medicine, or trophies. Take this pledge to enforce change and proactive decisions by enforcing laws that prohibit trade & poaching, and  promote environmental conservation to protect tigers in their natural habitat.

These devastating statistics only further the reason that we need to take action to save this glorious animal from extinction. This magnificent animal, if left at the current rate of endangerment without proactive action, will be wiped out from the world for us to remember. Take action and share this pledge to help save tigers from extinction.
