Sign the Petition to

Citizens of United State and State of Oklahoma

To Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin, and Oklahoma State Legislatures.  You made into law House Bill 1099, thereby lifting a 50 year ban on horse slaughtering on March 29th, 2013 despite heated Opposition from citizens of Oklahoma and Nation.  Governor, we the citizens demand that you no longer ignore the wishes of Oklahoma citizens.  The horses are not your personal property and we do not wish for them to be destroyed.  We want you to overturn your ruling and continue the ban on horse slaughtering.  Other alternatives for dealing with old and sickened horses are available that do not require the deaths of young and healthy horses or create profit for the few who would eliminate a valued national treasure.

Signed,

Robin Spears

Horses receive medicines that are toxic to humans when ingested, horse meat was shipped to other parts of the world and sold as beef to unknown recipients, the desire of the masses outweighs the wishes of the few who stand to financially profit and lastly, the government has an obligation to follow the desires of its citizens when public outcry in the majority occurs.
