President Goodluck Jonathan of Nigeria

We the people denounce the amnesty package being offered a terrorist group, Boko Haram in Nigerians. What has happened to all the Boko Haram members arrested without trial? What would happen if Boko Haram demands that all their members be released from prison immediately including those that bombed the Police Headquarters and  UN building in Abuja? What about Kabiru Sokoto the mastermind of the Christmas day Church Massacre in Madalla, Niger State, it's been more than a year he was arrested yet he has not faced proper prosecution. Is there any proof that Boko Haram will not ask for his release as part of the conditions to accept amnesty?

Granting Amnesty is now a Federal Government policy on poverty alleviation. Abi? What a travesty to constitution!

It is very shameful and totally unacceptable to we Nigerians that President Jonathan has decided to grant amnesty to a terrorist group, Boko Haram. This latest agenda of Mr President without doubt is set to legalize terrorism in Nigeria and throw our country into a serious lawless state like Somalia and places alike. There is no country out there without some sort of separatist groups or some form of lawless groups yet all these countries battle to crush these groups. The international best practice is clear, NO NEGOTIATIONS WITH TERRORISTS

*In Sri Lanka, the world most deadliest terrorist organization Tamil Tigers though fighting for a state of their own was finally crushed in 2009 by the Sri lankan forces after nearly 60 years of the of insurgency. Through out these years, Amnesty was not even a thought let a lone talking of offering one.FORCE was used.

*In Mexico they have about 7 drug cartels terrorizing the whole country, has Mexico offered amnesty? NO, FORCE is being applied.

*In Spain, did the Spanish Government succumb to years of ETA terrorist attacks let alone offer Amnesty to ETA? NO, FORCE was used to cripple the group.

*In Colombia, did the Colombian Government offer Amnesty to FARC? NO, again FORCE was the antidote.

Here is a List of designated terrorist organizations and none from their Government has offered Amnesty to these groups. Why Boko Haram?

We are also hearing  that latest to be awarded billions of Naira  monthly contract to protect our oil pipe lines is OPC. Gradually, Nigerians are beginning to see a new trend where law enforcement work are being outsourced to militant groups and maybe soon, you will award contracts to Boko Haram to start protecting our borders like former MEND members are being paid millions of dollars every month to do the job of our military and Navy.  Whether this is true or not, it is already in the air that our President is indirectly legalizing crime in our country with arms readily available in our country. Boko Haram has no mission, they have no cause order than killing Nigerians every single day., how can you be offering amnesty to a group already programmed to kill innocent Nigerians.

It is totally unacceptable; a travesty to even imagine that this is happening in our country today. No country succumbs to the demands of a terror group, either to their sponsors or to those asking for amnesty on their behalf. What this means is that Federal Government of Nigeria is very weak and cannot flush out a terror group bent on crippling the entire Northern Nigeria and Nigeria as a whole. All these things are happening under your watch Mr President and yet there has never been a strategic plan backed by proper intelligence either before or now to flush out these terrorists. The only major plan you want to hurriedly implement is to offer amnesty to a terrorist group that has killed more than 5000 innocent Nigerians both men, women and children. The image on this petition typifies the havoc that this Boko Haram has caused and it shows that you are ready to desecrate our constitution which you swore to defend by granting a package of amnesty for those who kill innocent Nigerians at will. It is dangerous and it sends the wrong message to any Nigerian wishing to set up their own terrorist groups hoping to take advantage of your proposed amnesty package for Boko Haram. Amnesty for Boko Haram simply re-enforces the belief among our people that crime pays in Nigeria. Mr President, we denounce any form of amnesty for Boko Haram, if you go ahead with this amnesty without understanding the mood in the country, what happens if tomorrow another terrorist group springs up out of no where? This is a dangerous PRECEDENCE  that would sink our country and we call on you to cancel the process now please.

We Urge You To Completely Put A Stop To This Amnesty Immediately And Listen To The Voice Of Nigerians.

Please we need you to spread this petition widely so that we can pressure President Goodluck Jonathan to stop this move. It is only when we do so that Government listens, if we don't, Government will simply wake up some day and sell Nigeria to the highest bidder.
