WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP TO ACT NOW:
The HK government has currently proposed amendments to breeding regulations in the pet industry (otherwise known as Cap 139b).
Under the new scheme they are proposing 3 different licenses, some of which will allow pet breeders to continue to operate legally without a business registration and in private residential property.
While it may be regulated on paper, it is virtually impossible to enforce.
The result? Animals continuing to be exploited for profit with little effective control from the law.
Before these licenses are enforced, we have a chance for our voices to be heard.
We need to act now and tell the government, we want 1 strict, uniform license NOT 3.
If you live in Hong Kong, please sign our petition and give us an email address or phone number so we can validate your signature.
Act now and end the exploitation of animals for profit.
