Greetings In the Name of Jesus, the Messiah!
THANK YOU! To all those who gave towards our move to Texas, we are extremely grateful! Your giving enabled us to endure the long move but more importantly it was confirmation that we were doing the right thing. Your giving to missionaries and ministers does more than "pay the bills", it enables other to proclaim good news, bind the broken hearted, proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness the prisoners. Calvary Commission is a 'by faith' ministry and as such the staff relies on outside support from other who believe that the blood of Jesus is the answer to a hurting world. Therefore, please consider assisting us in proclaiming freedom for the captives.
Where are you going? Things have really progressed at Calvary Commission. The state of Texas has recognized the Theology degrees issued at Calvary Commission. Therefore, Calvary Commission's Biblical training is now Calvary International Bible Institute and Theological Siminary!
What are you Doing? With all the ministry opportunities here we are praying for wisdom and guidance when choosing which areas to server in. Ultimately we want to be involved in the saving of souls, making of disciples and the setting free of captives. We are both getting involved in the Hope on The Streets and Adopt-a-Block ministries. Hope on Streets is a weekly evangelistic and humanitarian outreach. The team sets up in Tyler, serves coffee, water and juice while open air preaching in both English and Spanish. Following is a time of prayer and the distribution of food and clothing. Adopt-a-Block is a weekly door-to-door outreach where we distribute food, pray for needs and make Jesus known. I (Rick) am managing the I.T. network and hopes to begin assisting in the pastoral care of the students. Most of the students were not enrolled when Andrea and I were here; please pray that we are able to develop meaningful relationships with them. We are both going to be actively involved in foreign missions. Mexico Easter Outreach will be taking place on March 26th-30th. We are working on getting passports for Jeremiah and Ellie so they can join us on future mission trips.
Future Plans - We are praying for open doors in the mission field. Calvary Commission teams will be going to interior Mexico in June, Israel in October and Reynosa, Mexico in December. Most mission trips are open for the public. More information can be found at http://www.calvarycommission.org. We are praying for meaningful relationships with students, staff and community members.
How to Help - We ALWAYS need prayer in the areas of ministry clarity, family strengthing, courage to preach the Gospel and realationship buiding with those we are ministering to. Financial support from family and friends is necessary to enable us to continue ministering at Calvary Commission. Please consider giving through this causes.com page or by sending a donation to:
