The Ganga has the right to exist and thrive, and so do we. I call upon Parliament to immediately pass the National Ganga Rights Act, so that our precious National River may be preserved, and our people and wildlife may be safeguarded from the billions of litres of pollution and activities that threaten and defile it every day.
Swamini Adityananda Saraswati
The river known worldwide as Mother Ganga is in serious peril. Every day, billions of litres of sewage and toxic chemicals are poisoning it and the millions of people and animals that depend on it for life itself. In some places, the Ganga's renowned waters are being extracted until there is no water left to drink, bathe in or worship. As our precious river withers, we must not stand idly by. When the Ganga's rights are violated, all of our rights are violated. Sign the petition, send it to your friends, and be the change. Hope is in your hands.
