Sign the Petition to

Susan Martinez, New Mexico Governor

Dear Governor Susan Martinez: On Monday 3/11/2013, CNN News reported that HORSES were going to be slaughtered in your state of New Mexico, and business owner, Mr. De Los Santos would create 40 jobs.  With all due respect in trying to create more jobs, I urge you to stop the slaughtering of innocent horses, that have given so much hard work, sacrifices of their freedom without control of what was demanded of them to obey, and while they generated profit for their owners.   Horses that are no longer wanted by their owners due to being injured or being too old, are prospective candidates to be slaughtered by Mr. De Los Santos and his employees, then transport the meat to other countries is sadly a catastrophy and it is inhumane, atrocious and cruel acts against these beautiful horses.   Instead, injured and older horses need to be placed in Sanctuaries where they can receive the care, needed during their retirement, since the horses should have earned compensation from all that profit they generated, and it is our responsibility as a compassionate American Citizen to see that horses are protected in a Sanctuary.   If there is anything I am asked to do for the protection of these horses, I am open and willing to do everything within my power to help see that the horses are saved and protected in a Sanctuary for the rest of their lives in retirement.

Signed,

Sylvia Santos

I urge for every person who loves animals and horses, to sign this petition in support of protecting the horses that are planned to be slaughtered, or are already in the process of horses being slaughtered, and it will help New Mexico Governor to see that there are many animal lovers and activists who object to the slaughtering of innocent hard working horses who need to be protected and to be placed in a Sanctuary for a more peaceful life.
