A childs wishes for their future should be heard and addressed. While the childs views should not soley decide whea courts decision, they should carry a significant weight in deciding as custodial case.

If a child actively requests to be heard in a matter that will directly affect their life, this should be made available to them, and should be considered in the desicion.

Signed,

Help us change the current Family Law Legislstion. At present, there is no definitive age that a child can have a say in where they are placed, nor are they allowed, on request, to approach the courts and make their wishes known. Children are not stupid! If they were listened to earnestly, there is where we would find the most truth!
