Thanks for checking out my Birthday Wish!

Last year I asked many of my friends and family to donate to the American Cancer Society, Inc. in honor of my father. I had set a goal of $500, and we ended up exceeding my goal and raising $738! Due to the success of last year, I'd like to keep this tradition alive. I would like to thank everyone, who donated last year, one more time. That being said, for my birthday on April 2nd, 2013, I'm asking my family and friends for a special gift, once again: help me raise $800 for American Cancer Society, Inc.

I chose American Cancer Society, Inc. because my father had been diagnosed with Stage IV cancer the week before my birthday two years ago. Six months after the diagnosis, he lost his battle. I felt this would be a great way to honor my dad almost 2 years later.

Last year, during the time period that I had asked you guys to donate to this cause, my brother had married the love of his life. Not long after that, his wife was diagnosed with cancer for the second time in her life. She is currently undergoing treatment, and has had positive results thus far. As a one-time survivor of this horrible disease, and someone who is fighting this for a second time, she is one of the strongest people I know.  Her name is Tammy, and this is the link to her Facebook page:

If you could just send her a message and keep her in your prayers, that would be great!

My hope is that one day our world can be cancer free, so that nobody's life will be cut short due to this disease ever again!

Please consider giving to my Birthday Wish. I am asking for $23 donations because that is how old I will be turning, but ANY donation helps! Just think that if everybody who sees this gives just $1, we can raise a lot more than my goal of $800. If you can't give now, I'd really appreciate if you'd share this page with all of your friends!

This is the link to the Facebook page for this event, so that you can share:

Thanks,
PJ
