Stop the invasive "American Community Survey"

This survey is entirely invasive to an American's privacy. We are proud to be a free nation and yet our government is now strong-arming our citizens with threats of jail time and huge fines into revealing their most personal information to total strangers. Putting all of the information that can assist any hacker with identity theft, which is an enormous problem in the US and beyond, is not only ridiculous but also dangerous. The agencies which will have access to our personal information have not only already suffered numerous hacking attacks but the people working in the agencies who have access to our information are also low-paid and are at risk of being tempted to sell this information. The fact that people who don't immediately fill out the survey are then harassed by phone and repeated visits not only to their home, but also to their neighbors homes, where the neighbors are asked to report on them, is reminiscent of Nazi Germany and should NEVER happen in the USA. The bill in congress to make this survey optional or less invasive (H.R.931) was killed and this is unconscionable. No US citizen should be forced to give out any information that can put them at risk.

I would hope our elected officials would be disturbed to hear that citizens are being harassed by government representatives.

How this will help

Congress needs to reenact H.R 931. No one hears about this survey "census" until they receive it and then they are horrified. We already have a census we do not need this additional one. This is costing Americans billions of dollars!
