How this will help

StayingStrong.org is a new skill building website to promote resilience and emotional health in military connected children. Developed by Paula K. Rauch, MD and Bonnie Ohye, PhD, Family Team Directors of the Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital Home Base Program. All materials are available at no cost at www.StayingStrong.org or www.homebaseprogram.org.

FOR PARENTS: Short, animated videos of engaging military family stories followed by parent guidance, child development and communication videos.Accompanying worksheets and resources offer targeted information to enhance parenting skills and help support child resilience through the deployment cycle and beyond.

FOR SCHOOL PROFESSIONALS: A 25-minute documentary about two military families and the exemplary efforts of their public school community. Illustrates the compassion and skill of teachers, administrators, counselors and nurses engaged in an effective collaboration to sustain the resilience of the military connected children in their civilian community. The embedded curriculum will raise awareness and stimulate creative collaborations in the school community. Downloadable tool kits for teachers and school nurses are included.

"It opened my eyes to new tips and ideas on helping my children…Kids don't come with instructions, but this website is already helping me grow as a parent." –Military Parent
