United States Equal Employment Rights Administration, Employers Discriminating Against Felonys

People who have served their time for the commited crime should have eqaul rights to employment. Many want to complete their sentence or parole to become a BETTER person. But it seems as though employers are discriminating against allowing felons to overcome their past. Our Economy is so bad at this time, it is hard enough to find employment, but for felons it is almost impossible.

Many who commit crimes, for example robbery, theft, drug crimes, etc, have commited the crimes as a way of "staying alive, or only source to provide for their families." They come out of jail or prison WANTING to change and take the RIGHT PATHS, but if there is no oppurtunity then how is it possible? Employment is the ONLY way to provide an acceptable, legal living environment, so it is VITAL for employers to give oppurtunity to as least interview with them, allowing that personal conversation to give the judgment.

There is a term of "doing whatever it takes to provide for my family." All I'm asking is lets help people who have served their time, change their past and get them on the right path by allowing oppurtunity.

Signed,

Leeanna Fox
