Yoko Ono Lennon

Dear Yoko Ono,

As we near the relighting of the IMAGINE PEACE TOWER on February 18th we send our best wishes to you on your 80th.

The Members of this Facebook Cause also seize this opportunity to IMAGINE your HELP to FREE Mordechai Vanunu.

We also take this opportunity to remind the world of your good works from 9 years ago in pursuit of real change in the Middle East through the "GIMME SOME TRUTH Peace Prize."

In 2004, Yoko Ono honored investigative journalist, Seymour Hersh, in recognition of his reporting on the Abu Ghraib prison abuse scandal and Israel's Nuclear whistle-blower, Mordechai Vanunu.

In the interview with Reuters to announce the award, Ono said she hoped Vanunu could collect the award in person at the New York ceremony that also commemorated John Lennon's 64th birthday adding Vanunu "did complete his sentence, it's not as though he's a criminal. It's possible that he can't come - the point is that it's another statement, a statement that the whole world can share and think about. People power is stronger than the power of institutions."

April 21, 2013 will mark the end of Vanunu's 9th year under 24/7 surveillance by Israeli SECURITY and the first day into his 10th denied the right to leave Israel on top of 18 years in prison just for telling the world some truth.

We thank you in advance for doing anything to HELP remind the world that Vanunu still WAITS for his right to full FREEDOM and that Vanunu was the first to IMAGINE a Nuclear FREE Middle East.

How this will help

You should sign if you agree with Mordechai Vanunu that, "The passive acceptance and complacency with regard to the existence of nuclear weapons anywhere on earth is the disease of society today.

You should sign if you agree with Mordechai Vanunu that, "The passive acceptance and complacency with regard to the existence of nuclear weapons anywhere on earth is the disease of society today.

"This struggle is not only a legitimate one - it is a moral, inescapable struggle.

"Already now there are enough nuclear missiles to destroy the world many times over [and] this issue should unite us all, because that is our real enemy.

"Is any government qualified and authorized to produce such weapons?"-1987, from Ashkelon prison

You should sign if you agree that Human Rights abuses and cover-ups "pose a more insidious danger to democratic societies than terrorism. In a democracy, people have the basic right to know what their leaders are up to, and what acts are being committed in their name....Dissenters like Vanunu force the public to confront uncomfortable issues and take a position, debunking the fraudulent secrecy of politicians and shaping policy."-Dear Yoko
