We request that the Rockingham County Commonwealth Attorney consider the circumstances leading William Jake Fisher to commit his crime. After 7 years of sexual abuse by a Secret Service and after trying a rehabilitation program that is now under investigation for fraud and abuse, William Jake Fisher, desperate to end his life, robbed a pharmacy in Harrisonburg Virginia with a hobbiests airsoft gun to get the drugs needed to overdose. Airsoft guns are used similarly to a paint gun, for target practice, games, and training. In the United States under federal law airsoft guns are legal for all ages and are not clasified as a firearm. Jake did not physically hurt anyone. His crime lasted less then 2 minutes. Thank god Jake was found before he could overdose. He has pled guilty to his crimes and is cooperating fully with the prosecutor. We request that the Office of the Commonwealth Attorney acknowledge the humanity of the situation and consider the circumstances that led this scared and traumatized boy to where he is today. We request that the justice system allows Jake access to his expert psychological witnesses. Provide him with the medication he has been prescribed in a timely and consistent manner. Give him the resources he needs to live with his Ehlers Danlos, an incredibly painful genetical disorder. Jake is a victim too. Please consider Jake's circumstances in his sentencing. Lets get Jake some mental health resources and rehabilitation. Accept the Defense Attorney's request for sentencing. Send him to mandatory treatment center not a prison. He deserves treatment and rehabilitation.

Please sign this petition so that the Office of the Commonwealth Attorney in Rockingham county will remember to treat Jake as a victim too. We are asking them to accept the defense attorneys request for sentencing. Treat Jake with compassion. Decades in prison is not justice. They only report to the people who elected them. Let's show them WE want JUSTICE for Jake too.
