Sign the Petition to

Oregon State Representatives and President Obama

As it is now breast cancer patients have to wait upwards of three years for a hearing to get the SSD benefits they deserve for the time that they are unable to work.
My mother is losing her home because SSD denied her benefits for the 12 months she was undergoing chemo treatment and her mastectomy. If we don't do something more women with breast cancer or survivors of breast cancer will lose money to pay bills in the time they are unable to work and eventually they will lose their homes.

When I close the petition around February 28th, depending on how many signatures we have, I am going to personally deliver the petition to our representatives. I am looking for people to join me in doing so and wear signs stating who they know with breast cancer, and /or how they feel about this situation.

Let's get them to listen by making a non-violent impression!

I will keep you updated to place and time of delivery. Thank you all for your support a dedication to change!

Signed,

Jesse Azzopardi

How this will help

Ever hear of people that wouldn't/couldn't heal because they weren't happy or had no hope?

It has been proven that people who are ill get better when they are in a position that makes them feel happy and secure. If we were able to spread awareness about the wait time for Social Security Benefits then we will most likely be able to reinstate hope in women who have had or do have breast cancer.

Happiness is that best medicine. Don't you think?
