Sign the Petition to

Judge Joseph Jennings, Gloucester MA District Court

We respectfully request Judge Jennings continue this case to trial. John Dugan of Gloucester, MA committed an egregious act of animal cruelty on 12/4/12, when he admitted to gutting and disemboweling his pit bull Xena in an attempt to remove packets of his heroin she had swallowed. He then disposed of her body behind a building and put her entrails in a bag in a dumpster. Mr. Dugan's attorney has motioned to dismiss the charges and Judge Jennings will rule on defense motion on 1/18/13. In signing this petition we also advocate for the maximum penalty of 5 years incarceration as defined by MA law if Mr. Dugan is found guilty upon trial.

Judge Jennings seems to recognize the atrocity of Mr. Dugan's actions as demonstrated by the high bail of $20,000 cash set at arraignment. We need to continue to encourage  a stand against animal cruelty. By signing this petition the prosecution  will receive the message that people nationwide are aware of this case and are demanding justice for Xena. We will not accept anything less than full prosecution and punishment under law.
