Individuals further victimizing victims of bullying, harassment and hate crimes on memorial tribute pages. Re: RIP Amanda Todd Facebook page posts that applaud her death, comments that she deserved to die, that she was selfish and a coward. Posting doctored photos and memes that further victimize her family and friends. This Petition asks that anyone found abusing, harassing or interferring with a memorial site in any way, shape or form, other than what it was intended for, will result in a lifetime ban from Facebook; Pivileges revoked indefinately for abusing a vital social media tool in the fight to end cyber-bullying. Facebook needs to police their own policies and have serious consequences for anyone reported to be abusing memorial pages. Facebook was not created to give insensitive people a worldwide arena for their hurtful and offensive comments. If we take away the "priviledge" we remove them from doing further harm.

Put an end to cyber-bullying. This is the first step in demanding change. We can't control it everywhere, but we may be able to demand change HERE, online; where bullying does the most "annonymous" damage. Even though Amanda is gone, people continue to tear her down, along with her family on her Facebook memorial page. Our goal is 10,000 signatures.
Facebook states on their Rights and Responsibilities disclosure:
6. You will not bully, intimidate, or harass any user.
7. You will not post content that: is hate speech, threatening, or pornographic; incites violence; or contains nudity or graphic or gratuitous violence
Let's get Facebook to penalize the people breaking the rules.
One year from the date of Amanda's death, maybe we can celebrate that this beautiful little girl forced the world to change it's behavior. Please sign this and be a voice.
