Pledge to

Observe the speed limit on residential streets

This pledge closed about 4 years ago

How this will help

"Don't let the 2 minutes you 'save" be the last 2 minutes of someone's life." David Townsend - Tia's dad

Our target is ZERO DEATHS, ZERO INJURIES - the only worthwhile goal. None of us would want to be behind the wheel and hit someone, or to have someone we love become a victim

Did you know?

-An average of 90 loved ones die each day on American Roadways
-Data from the Federal Highway Administration shows that the death rate per miles driven on local roadways, which include residential streets, is twice the rate of highway deaths. Our driving behaviors typically begin and end each day in our neighborhood. Are you willing to get off to a safe start and end each day safely by observing the speed limit - typically 25 mph - on residential streets (and even beyond), and drive even slower in the presence of children at play, pedestrians, and cyclists?

What can you do?
Take the pledge today. Put your pledge into action. Invite family and friends to do so as well.

It's About Kids! It's About Safety! It's About Caring! It's About Time!
