On August 31st you announced that the federal government would no longer protect Wyoming wolves, handing over wolf "management" to the state of Wyoming. Because Wyoming's current anti-wolf laws treat wolves as 'vermin', allowing shoot-on-sight wolf killing throughout 80% of the state, the FWS' recent delisting decision signals the start of immediate, unconditional wolf killing.
With only an estimated 328 wolves left in the state, Wyoming's extreme anti-wolf policies could drive the animals back into local extinction.

Signed,

GOOD WOLF

Last year, congress gave hunters and trappers in Montana and Idaho the right to kill wolves that had been granted previous protection under the Endangered Species Act. Since then, the two states have adopted increasingly aggressive wolf quotas, hunting seasons, and extreme methods of killing wolves. As a result, in the 2011-2012 hunting season, hunters and trappers in these states killed 545 wolves, and both have made wolf-hunting regulations even more lenient for the 2012-2013 season.
Don't let the wolf population in Wyoming suffer a similar fate! Join the citizens and animal rights groups across the country fighting to protect America's wildlife! Many howls!
