SOS for the WOLVES of WISCONSIN !!!
**contact information all provided….Wolf supporters you are the BEST….but if life has made you weary and tired, and you think ‘enough of the others will do this, so I don’t really have to‘…..just imagine what will happen if no one participates….is it worth a wolf suffering the pangs of hell? Please read the talking points and make contact. Many howls!
As you know, Wisconsin is planning a particularly brutal hunt/trap season for wolves to begin in October of 2012. This hunt is planned to include hunting wolves ‘at night’ (when they are most active), and using hoards of blood hounds to stalk, single out, and surround a terrified wolf, as his descendants prepare to rip him apart! Truly a Draconian horror tale.
The wolves of Wisconsin will be blindsided by the bullets and arrows they will endure, as they have become accustomed to living peacefully with humans; there are not been a wolf hunt in Wisconsin in over 40 years!
There may be little we can do to reverse the decision to go ahead with the hunt, but we certainly have to try! This cannot go forward without a PROTEST from those of us who understand that this is all about ‘thrill killing’ wolves (influenced by special interest groups like the NRA and Safari Club International - as well as local extreme anti-wolf organizations). Trappers have even admitted that their primary reason for trapping wolves is not for the money, but for the “fun of it.”
WE NEED PRO-WOLF PEOPLE TO MAKE CONTACT WITH WISCONSIN - expressing your outrage regarding the hunt and the particulars of the hunt, i.e. hunting at night and hunting with dogs! We need a large number of people to protest - we need a LOUD PRESENCE. Wisconsin cannot be given a ‘free pass’ with a pat on the back to terrorize and brutalize wolves for state revenue purposes, or to appease sadistic thrill killers, which comprise hunting and trapping groups.
Wisconsin must realize our power to boycott their state products and tourism, if this unnecessary and vicious hunt, with all its gory components, is allowed to proceed without, at the very least, omitting the night hunts and the dogs. Trappers should NOT be permitted to set their ghastly traps AT ALL! Realize we want ‘no hunt’ at all, but if that can’t change - at least we need to take some of the torture out of the planned hunt.
