This Mother's Day, we are honoring the mothers of child burn survivors who put everything aside to see that their child recovers from the painful and tragic experience of being severely burned.
Meet Vicki, mother of 11-year-old burn survivor, Tyler. Tyler was burned over 42.5% of his body in a house fire. A gasoline explosion had engulfed their home in flames. As the fire grew, Tyler was scared and hid until his father was able to find him and get him out. Tyler was severely burned all over his body, including his hands, feet, back and face. His father also suffered burns, while his mother, Vicki, has been by his side through 30 surgeries, several relocations, severe infections, and a coma.
The Children's Burn Foundation is supporting Tyler and his family through their journey to recovery, as they do with so many child burn survivors.
Join this Cause to support the needs of child burn survivors, which include life-changing reconstructive surgeries, pressure garments and face masks, emergency housing assistance, and psychosocial support.
