How this will help

Sea levels are rising and the oceans are warming. Droughts threaten crops, wildlife and freshwater supplies. From polar bears in the Arctic to marine turtles off the coast of Africa, our planet’s diversity of life is at risk from climate change.

Climate change poses a fundamental threat to the vulnerable places, species and people WWF seeks to protect. To adequately address this crisis we must urgently reduce carbon pollution and prepare for the consequences of global warming that the world is already experiencing.

In addition to mobilizing millions of people for action during Earth Hour, WWF is also:
- Helping people and nature adapt to a warmer world
- Advancing policies to curb climate change
- Engaging with businesses to reduce emissions
