Approve Zoning App 2012-01-Z (30 Rose Court for Life is labs Rescue, Inc.)

The approval of this zoning application will allow us to develop and operate the first and only full-service non-profit dog facility in metro Atlanta if not the entire Southeast. The facility will provide not only rescue and adoption services, but also boarding, training, daycare and other products, services and events related to dog ownership. The property is a beautiful 24 acres that is perfectly suited for this use. It has rolling terrain, plentiful hardwood and pine trees, and a building site that puts all of the activity well into the center of the property, as far away from neighbors as possible. With this facility, we will be able to save more dogs out of the greater West Georgia area -- where over 14,000 animals lost their lives in 2009 (the most recent statistics). Many or most of these animals were highly adoptable. With our efforts, we hope to eliminate this tragic statistic and provide community education and services to enhance peoples' relationships with and respect for their companion animals. Please support the approval of our zoning hearing on March 27th at 2:00pm at the Paulding County Government Center in Dallas, GA.

Signed,

Kristie Liggin Wilder

Because the most recent statistics show over 14,000 companion animals were killed in local shelters in West Georgia alone. Our new facility will help move dogs out of local shelters and provide assistance to other rescues to do the same. Our facility will also offer boarding, training, daycare and other services and products where all proceeds benefit saving dogs! It will be the first facility of its kind in the metro Atlanta area and we hope you will sign to help us save more dogs!
