According to The Humane Society of the United States, nearly four million cats and dogs are put down in U.S. shelters each year. That means, during a 40-hour work week, one homeless pet is euthanized every two seconds. Often these animals are the offspring of cherished family pets, even purebreds. Maybe someone's cat or dog got out just one time or maybe the litter was intentional, but efforts to find enough good, permanent homes failed. The result is that homeless animals have to be euthanized. Spaying and neutering save lives.
The 19th annual national Spay Day takes place on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2013 The Cat Network is organizing reduced cost spay/neuter clinics, hosting fundraisers and bringing awareness to the importance of spaying and neutering with events and activities taking place throughout February.
In honor of Spay Day we are looking to raise $2,000 during the month of February to fund the sterilization of homeless cats!
Please help us reach our goal and donate today!
