We need to repeal the Biggert-Waters Flood Insurance Reform Act!    Right now homeowners have a choice between having their flood insurance go up to  $9,000 or more a year or doing very expensive elevations when most homeowners did not get enough money from insurance to even repair the damage done

There is no reason for any further tragedies to come out of Hurricane Sandy. So much of New York City and its surrounding areas haven't had a chance to fully recover from Sandy, and New York City's Animal Care and Control is expecting animals who might have been lost or surrendered to be rescued
