Angelina Jolie wrote an op-ed in the NY Times about getting a preventive double mastectomy. She did this because she tested positive as a carrier of the BRCA gene. If one tests positive for this genetic mutation, one has up to a 65% lifetime risk of getting breast cancer. If one tests positive
