My daughter and my niece were molested when they were Children by someone they knew and trusted. By the time my daughter was able to deal with what happened to her the statue of limitations made it to late for her to bring charges against the pervert that destroyed her childhood. She did everything she could do to make him accountable for his actions only to be told it was to late. The law needs to understand that sometimes these victims can't face what happens to them for years. There...

I agree with Andrew. Rape and religion shouldn't go together. Church should be a safe place a child can go without fear. It's stupid to not hold priests responsible as a normal person would be.

A family member was raped as a young child by 2 men her mom was dating, and her mom did nothing about it. Finally, the child told her counselor and she was removed from her home being put in DHS custody. Then finally her Grandma (my Mom) was put in charge of her as her Legal Guardian after her mom gave her rights up. That's a poor way to show your love for a child. The girl has had alot of outburts as a result of her treatment. Rape never leaves you even if you try to hide it. The trauma is always there.
