They called him "Charlie Hustle" for a reason. He was the hardest working man in baseball, he played harder than anyone else. I modeled my career in Accounting after Pete Rose's work ethic in Baseball.
He deserves to be in the Hall of Fame for his time as a Player. He has already been punished long enough for his gambling as a Manager. Either way, his gambling is no where near as bad as all of the Players who physically "Cheated" during the Steroid Era. Give him the respect he deserves and put him in the Hall of Fame!

Wow those were real players. I remember watching the Reds in elementary school instead of studying. The whole school watched them win the World series. :)
One of the best, there are hall of famers that have done a lot worse than Pete, his all out style of play is what's missing in todays overpaid steroid abusing primadonnas.
What was done in the past is not as near serious as some of those that have or will make it to the HOF with an * by their names............ At least he admitted some of his faults and not wasted the taxpayer dollars going to a grand jury hearing....... WTF!
