- chILDren's Interstitial Lung Disease (chILD) is a group of rare lung diseases found in infants, children, and adolescents.
- There are many types of chILD.
- The different types vary in severity and in long term outcomes
- chILD decreases a child's ability to supply oxygen to their body
- Some children die from this disease.

Children's Interstitial Lung Disease Parent Support Group( http://health.groups.yahoo.com/g... is a support group that was set up for those families dealing with the rare lung disease named chILDren's Interstitial Lung Disease. It is **ONLY** a support group and is **NOT** intended to take the place of a medical professional's treatment. It is a place to share, cry, seek comfort, laugh, find tips and meet people who just "Get It!" The group is there to help decrease family stress and isolation by providing emotional support and information to families by connecting experienced support parents with those who have similar concerns; and to increase families' knowledge and resources available pertaining to Children's Interstitial Lung Disease.

Your help is needed! There is currently no cure for this disease. It is frequently misdiagnosed. There is so much that is just not known about this rare lung disorder in children. Please help the chILD families spread the word by joining us in this cause. My hope is no other family has to wait months or even years to be diagnosed or even die from this disease

Your help is needed! There currently is no cure for chILD and many families don't even know their loved one has it. It is frequently misdiagnosed and many of us spend years trying to figure out what is wrong with our children. On behalf of my son who has NEHI...Thanks!
