Scots wa' hae !!! I wish you would separate the Causes. Some of us are strong Scottish nationalists who support our Ulster Scot cousins who would prefer to be in the UK instead of part of an Irish Republic !

Oil and HBOS were supposed to be the driver on an independent Scotland's economy. Oil is down some 30% and HBOS is now based in London in the space of a couple of months... Hopefully this won't be too much of hindrance to independence.

Im a scots lass and im shocked by the amount of scotlands oil which has gone into the coffers at westminster. i believe we can support our scottish economy as an independent country and can free ourselves from the powers at Westminster. I believe trade within the union can remain and we can build scotland into a thriving independent economy.

As a a native Irishman living in America, Scotland gain independance if they truly wanted it.And without bloodshed. Here's how. Unlike the six counties, which England has a huge vested interest in, England has already toiled with the idea of independant Scotland here recently. If the right people pull together, form a Scottish parliament and demonstrate good organizational skills and show England they can stand on their own without any doubt or weakness, they will likely hand it over. But they refuse to to that in Ireland. I don't even think THEY know why anymore. And furthermore, my grandmother on me mums side was born in Bonnackburn, Scotland. I am one quarter Scot, but I regard myself as a trueborn Scoth-Irish all the same. However, thats all it would take for an independant Scotland. That being said, which of you is willing to step up and lead the charge? And while your at it, vouch for the six-counties as well. We share much more in common with the Scots than the English.
