Change history in our lifetimes: The Sole of Africa is a Mineseeker Foundation Initiative to rid Africa of Landmines...

1. We have the technology and a plan to end hunger and generate sustainable economic growth.
2. We will quickly find and eliminate Landmines in 70 areas around the world, starting in Africa.
3. 85% of the land designated as mined is, in fact, virtually clear of Land Mines - by mapping that land and clearing any residual ordanance we can quickly return it to food and cash crop production.
4. Rapidly, through training and support we can restore farming skills and lift the citizens out of Aid.
5. Freed up Aid can be trageted elsewhere.
6. Our first project, in Mozambique, will turn "Killing Fields" into "Vegetable Gardens" and Mine Fields into Rice Fields.
7. With its fruitful fertile soil, Mozambique will become the Kitchen of Africa.

LANDMINES kill, maim, terrify and starve the population.

There are over 70 million landmines buried beneath the surface of this planet. Every twenty minutes a land mine kills or maims someone… usually women and children.

They render over 800 thousand square kilometers of land useless and terrify millions of people who live in constant fear. The cost to human life is horrific and the economic effect is devastating.

This is not an act of God, or a natural disaster - It is a man made disaster that is bigger, in terms of lives lost, than civil disruption and economic deprivation........
