Description
Every day the world's shark population shrinks. Some estimates suggest that over 100 million sharks are slaughtered every year. At this rate, the risk of extinction draws ever closer for certain species. 'Finning' or the killing of sharks and dumping of their carcass after the dorsal fin is removed is the primary culprit for the massive numbers of sharks killed annually.

Shark finning is animal torture. During this process, fins are ripped off the living animal. The poor creature, is then thrown overboard to sink to the bottom where is lies motionless and dies a slow and painful death. You have an opportunity to help stop this hideous practice, without spending a dime. American Express will fund the program that receives the most popular votes.
