Welcome to the ASPCA FaceBook Cause!
The ASPCA was founded in 1866 as the first humane organization in the Western Hemisphere. The Society was formed to alleviate the injustices animals faced then, and we continue to battle cruelty today. Whether it’s saving a pet who has been accidentally poisoned, fighting to pass humane laws, rescuing animals from abuse or sharing resources with shelters across the country, we work toward the day in which no animal will live in pain or fear. Come and join us in the fight to end animal cruelty.
So you might be wondering where your donations go? Here is a list!
$20- To feed an abandoned dog or cat for 3 weeks!
You will fill the empty belly of a lost puppy or kitten brought in off the streets to a shelter helped by the ASPCA.
$35- To Vaccinate 10 homeless cats & dogs!
Your kindness will not only save lives. Your gift will spare animals the fate of horrible diseases through the ASPCA.
$50- To provide a Medical exam for both a puppy and a kitten!
You and I must make sure pets taken to the shelter get immediate medical care - the very best possible.
$100- To Spay or Neuter a dog or a cat!
You can end significant suffering among animals by helping us spay and neuter as many pets as possible.

Shark finning is animal torture. During this process, fins are ripped off the living animal. The poor creature, is then thrown overboard to sink to the bottom where is lies motionless and dies a slow and painful death. You have an opportunity to help stop this hideous practice, without spending a dime. American Express will fund the program that receives the most popular votes. I have two dogs and a cat. The 1st dog that I had gotten was being beat and the guy told us that if we didn't take him, that he and his sister were gonna be thrown into a bag and thrown into a lake. So we took him and the couple behind us took his little sister. The other dog I have wasn't being taken care of where he was at and he was gonna be put into a pound. And the kitty I have I saved. He was a little kitten, and was outside in the cold. I think more people should save animals instead of breeding

Everytime I see this commerical on tv. it brings tears to my eyes. Please help and educate others about animal cruelty. I have 3 dogs and I would not take a thing for them. They are my children. They love me unconditionally and never talk back. They are very spoiled. They all 3 stay in the house and is fed every nite with plenty of water. I say they have 3 dishes of clean water at all times. Please help

if you love animals as much as i do you will probably want to join this group also. it's to help educate people on pitbulls and all proceedes go to the largest nonprofit pibull rescue and education program. please at least join to help.
Come join my cause: pitbull awarness day! You will be able to recruit friends, raise money, and add a profile badge to show your support!

It is such a relief to know there are people like both my boyfriend and myself. We currently have 3 cats and 4 dogs which have either been strays, from a pound or shelter. Out of all the different non-profit organizations ASPCA is one that I personally know is both reliable and respectable. People need to start taking care of their responsibilities and stop abusing their animals!!!!!

Both of the dogs that I've owned have came from the shelter & my current cat was dropped off, in a sack, barely weaned, in front of my house. Animal cruelty CAN be stopped through education & enforcement of laws. I've been blessed to live in a farming area that takes care of it's livestock- they get to run around in fields and are kept fat and healthy... factory farms need to be against the law. I personally think that if an animal is raised to nourish our bodies it should at least be allowed to be free range, not caged, unsanitary, in pain, et. c.

Hi, I'm Krystle and I just joined. The reason why I picked the ASPCA for my cause above all of the other great animal rights causes, is because I really have respect for the ASPCA officers that rescue hundreds of abandoned, abused, and neglected animals every day. Without their help Thousands or Millions of animals would not be rescued every year and given a second chance at life with a loving, cruel free family. I first became aware of the ASPCA through Animal Planet series "Animal Cops or Animal Police". One day I would love to work for the ASPCA and possibly be a animal cruelty investigator. It breaks my heart to watch innocent animals found in horrible conditions because of horrible people who have no right owning an animal. But its so rewarding to think of the animals that have found a new life. Thanks for hearing me out fellow animal lovers! Can't wait to start giving to this cause!
