Found nonprofit coffee shops which fund shelter construction for the homeless

For years I have been saving money to open a coffee shop which will serve as a springboard for opening a homeless shelter. All profits will fund building expansions which will include beds, storage space, social workers, etc, as well as necessary permits and insurance to operate as a homeless shelter.

You can help by donating for the opening of the first coffee shop shelter, or using your own savings to create one of your own.

Residents will be given vocational training, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, medical care, and psychological treatment.

The coffee shop will continue to function as a coffee shop during the day, after opening of the shelter, which will operate at night. Residents will be encouraged to use the computers, which will have job resources accessible, as well as provided with resume and interview training and work clothes.

It is the only project I could think of that has a low starting cost and could be a solid step toward eliminating homelessness.

Homelessness and unemployment will be eased by creating safe shelters to help people get back on their feet and rejoin society. Health and psychological problems will be treated. Drug and alcohol problems will be addressed and life goals established to enrich the lives of the shelter's residents.

The coffee shops will help create a sense of community in the towns in which they are built. Customers will know that their patronage of the establishment supports helping those who are down on their luck. The homeless and unemployed would be given an opportunity to start their lives fresh, with their medical, emotional, and situational issues addressed. Society as a whole would be helped by bringing them back into the workforce and the community and easing their life problems.

The optimal outcome would be for there to be a chain of coffee shop/shelter establishments spread across the US and the rest of the world.

With worldwide economy near collapse and millions already homeless, this project is needed more than ever.
