Support 8-year-old Bronte's plea to reduce gun violence
- Posted to Letters to Obama
To: President Obama, Vice President Biden, US Members of Congress
Even though she is only 8, I support her request to you, Mr. President:
"...please take away the guns** and care for the sick, so all of us can be safe and sound."
** where Bronte states 'take away the guns', her intention is not that every gun in the country be confiscated - she doesn't know... …

On Saturday 26th January, Bronte delivered thousands of letters, emails and signatures from around the nation and across the world, to Colin Goddard (Virginia Tech survivor) following the MARCH ON WASHINGTON FOR GUN CONTROL rally in DC. Colin, who now works for the Brady Campaign, has guaranteed delivery to the White House. If you've been meaning to write a letter (or have your kids do so) it's not too late. We will continue to gratefully receive letters here - bronte@bronteandfrank.com. We are sharing letters and pictures here - LIKE this page to support Bronte and receive updates on our progress - https://www.facebook.com/1000LettersToObama Who is Bronte? Bronte is no stranger to helping children in need. She was nominated for the 2012 International Children's Peace Prize for her efforts collecting 5,200 soft toys for children displaced by Typhoon Sendong in The Philippines (hundreds of which she delivered in person to kids living in tent cities). Last month, she collected more than 1,000 children's books to build the reading rooms of facilities in Los Angeles caring for homeless children. 300 of these were also sent to support the re-stocking of libraries lost to Sandy.

WHAT A CARING & KIND LITTLE GIRL.. OTHERS COULD FOLLOW HER EXAMPLE & ALSO FOR ANIMALS.
Kevin Smallwood she understands better than you do!
I totally agree with Kevin. Yes, the letter was kind and warm felt. From her view point, we would all see it the sameway. However, this is the second amendment. It was created not just to go hunting and killing deer, but to protect Americans from their own government. Like the right to have a Warrent before an officer comes into your home. These were rights that protect us from government.
I can't believe people voted for him knowing he was going to do this. only the bad guys will have guns then.
Lack of education about liberty freedom and tyranny is about all I can say. She cant vote yet thank GOD!
Kate Perez This child is too young to have any idea what she is saying, and her parents probably have not lived long enouth to be aware of what they are instilling this childs mind. They need to study History and see what happens when a Dictator takes over a country, is that what they want for their child?
Patrick Coons Seems you got the party wrong.
it is very sad when such small children have to deal with this..............
Someone needs to teach her what the Second Ammendment is.
I would never sign this petition, unlike brainwashed liners, I enjoy my freedom.
Liberals, stupid autocorrect!
Dear Mr. President....PLEASE HELP!
The gun didn't pull the trigger by itself
thank you!! thats what I was trying to say.. in animal cruelty cases agains specific breeds we try to teach "Punish the deed not the breed" and in this case it would be to punish the person not the product!! just absolutely ridiculous.. Guns have founded and made this country as safe as it is today.. Without guns we would not have the laws and country that we walk in today..
This important. Please help. Thank you and God Bless.
The gun is a symbol. Doesn't matter who uses it. I hope that this symbol and with it all the violence would disappear from this world sooner or later.but it will. Sandy's generation should grow up in a gun-free world. That would be the real freedom, wouldn't it?
Guns are controlled in many countries in the world. Why a country like USA who is the leader of the world cannot control it.
A beautiful little courageous girl!
