Creativity is important to the development of a child, it is also fun and interesting. It encourages focus, laughter and social concepts are developed through the exploration of the many forms of art.
art is a positive creative way for children to express themselves with and it so much fun! What would our world be without art? black and white that what it would be like.

I think there should be more support for community programs that promote the arts in under-served, rural and neighborhoods with limited access to arts programs.

In my experience teaching all levels, interdisciplinary projects with the Art professionals in the school were indispensable. Let's take away all high stakes testing & put back in the Arts with the $$$$ saved.
there's too many cuts in education and other government things such as in hospital's art is an important way for younger people to learn respect for beauty and life.
Maintaining arts in public schools is critical in my opinion because the Arts prepare students for the real world by exposing them to culture, and teaching critical thinking which is very much needed. Arts Education stimulates and develops the imagination and critical thinking, and refines cognitive and creative skills.

Through Art, you learn to coordinate mind spirit and body; from head to toe. Very important, since technology can keep us from doing so. We must keep Art in our everyday Life.
Art is an essential element for the creative student it should be available for people from all walks of life - without art, music, dance and theatre, our life would be dull and depressing...just watch the joy on a child's face when they have their fingers covered with paint and are trying to create a masterpiece! priceless!

In this increasingly stressful life we live what we need are more avenues for release and not less, and reducing the opportunities our children have to release the stresses that come with modern life such as limiting their ability to express themselves makes no sense at all!
