In your community, what is the biggest challenge to healthy eating?
While most of us know the importance of eating healthfully, less than half of low-income American families actually prepare nutritious meals most days of the week.* We can point to plenty of reasons why eating healthy is a challenge: fresh fruits and vegetables can be more expensive, healthy foods
Based on current eating trends, what percentage of Americans will be overweight or obese by 2020?
Why is this campaign important to you?
I have always promoted holistic living and have also been a community advocate for over twelve years. Presently I am promoting a challenge for health and wellness against child obesity, as well as for all. Please join me in a 90 day challenge with Visalus.com for more info or contact me. I do enjoy the Kashi products that or also part of my regiment. Keep up the good work.
I have been battleing being "overwieght" since I was a young girl. I'm always trying to find the healthiest foods in order to get fit and its still been a struggle. I know that there are lots of great healthy recipes for all-in one meals, those are my faverite!
If you want to lose weight, eating Kashi's grainy crap ain't the way to go about it! That poll needed a 5th option "Yes, because people don't know what healthy food is".
Grains, sugars, and starches are the CAUSE of obesity, NOT the solution! Trying to lose weight by eating the same things which made you fat in the first place is like a smoker with lung cancer trying to cure it by smoking more! It's totally ILLOGICAL!!

Good food and eating habits starts from home. Parents should be aware of what they give to their children. It starts with deleting the fizzy drinks and start to drink water and fresh juices, children should be taught to avoid sugar as much as possible.
I would like to learn more about healthy food for the sake of my kids. I would love for them to learn healthy habits when it comes to what they put in their bodies .
Fresh fruits with real dairy whipped cream make great desserts vs cake or pie etc,. Artificial foods are fattening. Babies will have a little baby fat but you can develop good habbits from early on in lie. Spinach and cabbage are wonderful for fiber & health also.
I enjoy good food but as a senior on disability and food stamps cut in half who can afford it. I hope for our government to get their poop in a group.
Focusing on good health with our children now will pay huge dividends in the health of our senior population of tomorrow.

We are the most obese and lazy country in the world. It is time that we finally started doing something to remedy this problem.
I enjoy healthy food. I have a big concern about the chemicals in our food. But just like everybody else i have a budget

Kashi is no healthier than fast - or junk - food! That's because grains ARE junk!

I, myself, woke up from a coma in 95. I had to relearn to walk & everything else. I had been 140 my entire adult life but went well over 200 after the six months of hospital/rehab. So i began walking long distances & eating more fresh fruit & veggies along with whole grains with my meals. more juice less pop. I am down to 160 now.
