For too long now the rich and super rich of the UK have been allowed to milk the benefits system when they have no financial need to claim them. They only claim them because they can. Poverty to so many of these people is not being able to have an extra holiday in a year or upgrade the Mercedes.

Consider the options for a young person currently living in a rented property. The unemployment benefit they receive is in the region of £56 per week. Once the reform takes place, unless they can find work, this will be all they have to house, feed and pay for everything necessary for a basic
