Because God is who made me the person that I am today. My faith in him is strong and I know that he is with me every step I take. Any problems, I leave them in his hands. He has not put no more on me than what I can take.

We can do all things through Christ who gives us strength. May God bless

I agree with the God in schools but I have a problem with the gun control measure.

We need to put God back in school so our kids will learn obedience and respect! Without God the Moral foundation is very prevalent! We see more and more children the future of this nation, they are undicipline, cheaters, disrespectful to parents, teachers and authorities. What kind of examples we are showing other nations when they look-up on us as a "Great Nation!".(no wonder they hate us!) It is not to late, our nation can still be save by the "Grace of the Holy Spirit!" We, as...

It is not to late, our nation can still be save by the "Grace of the Holy Spirit!" We, as parents need to start "God's Foundation" at home and the school will follow! As long as our "Faith in God" is very strong things will fall in places, because our Heavenly Father will hear us and will give as an obedient "NATIONS" the desire of our "HEARTS!" Amen I declare!

Thank you Keith Spangler for the thumbs up!

For all those who try to erase God from this country...will pay....and so will we if we don't do something soon.

God in school NEVER hurt anyone so what is everyone afraid of?

god should be allowed everywhere. he made this place he ownes it....and us. everybody needs god and some kids don't know him because he isn't allowed in school.

It's an important cause simply because we are Americans who are suppose to have the freedom of religion. What is this country teaching our children but banning their "human rights"?

Eddie,
First let me clear one thing up and then I will discuss this cause. I never mentioned anything about OUR “founding fathers” but since you did….let me tell you a little of what I also know about our “founding fathers” ALL TOO WELL……There is a law in Stafford County that on Sundays at 4pm, a man is allowed to take his wife to the county steps and beat the crap out of her. That law was also put into effect by our “founding fathers”. Now this law is still technically on the books making it legal. Now, I can guarantee you that there is some crooked lawyer who would use this law to defend that man and could very easily make it so that man is set free while the woman lay beaten in a hospital or worse….DEAD as her child is left motherless because of OUR “founding fathers” laws. Then, guess what, that child ends up in that man’s custody…..so who do you think is next for him to start beating??

Eddie, my friend, you cannot have it both ways…you can’t pick and choose like that…if you do chose to preach about our “founding fathers” views on religion, then, you must also take the above fore mentioned law and preach it as well. Trust me, we don’t want to get into domestic violence with me but my point is that your research into when this country was founded is pretty one-sided and really has nothing to do with my point about this cause at all.

I will give you an example (current times) that I hope will clear up your interpretation of my point. You and I didn’t attend Stafford at the same time, but I am going to assume that since you are good friends with Tony, that you may have played some sports in school. Just go with me here if you didn’t. So, as you and other guys were allowed to get together and practice, get together and hang out, dress up all nice and neat on game days and have that all too familiar “whoop up on the competition” speech by the coach to get you all pumped up and ready to go out there on the field and give it all you guys had. These were your rights & privileges Eddie…and that is perfectly okay with me; I have absolutely no problem with that “group” gathering. But, you know what, my son, is disabled (as you are aware) and he, Eddie, will never be able to play sports in high school. So, what you do we do with the children who either aren’t capable of high school sports or who just aren’t interested in that? Did you and Tony “shove” your meetings down others’ throats and make them attend football, wrestling, or track events?? No, of course you didn’t.

All I want is for children who wish to meet together to have prayer, have afterschool meetings where they can do the same as you and Tony did with sports which is the freedom to form a group and not be persecuted for it. It is the very same thing. Hear me when I say, I do NOT believe in making any child say prayer over meals, or forcing a child to listen to any part of the Bible, or forcing any child to attend any meeting where such activity is being held. Now, I was not a “sports” girl yet I was FORCED to attend pep rally’s during school.

You mention school being a “public place” and therefore; that somehow that is a reason to not allow kids who wish to, get together and pray. I pay taxes too Eddie so that point holds no water either. I am not sitting here saying “because I pay taxes” kids should be allowed to pray in school. It is just not relevant to my point at all which is why I didn’t speak of “public place and being a taxpayer” nor did I speak of “founding fathers laws” because, honestly, this is not a forum for that. This is about ALL children having the same privilege and to be free to meet each other before or after school to participate in what they believe and/or are interested in. No different than you and Tony playing football together. As he just got home (he said he will give you a call in a bit) he said you and he met when he broke your arm playing football…..the irony!! LOL!! I had never heard that story before but just to attempt to get where I am personally coming from…..what if you and Tony weren’t allowed to play football??? Would you take my reasons about “founding fathers” or “public places” or “paying taxes” as good enough reasons to keep you from participating in something you enjoyed.??

I realize you will come back to me with more of your opinion, which is completely fine, as we both are proud Americans and therefore; are entitled to our opinions. That IS our RIGHT!! And I say “Amen” to that….you can say whatever you’d like to that….but in the end, we both are Americans and proud to be one. But, honestly Eddie, there are hundreds and hundreds of men and women who have fought and died or been permanently disabled SO you and I can have this conversation. Eddie, I KNOW at least some of those people who died for us were Christian…..so I chose not to demean them and the ultimate price they paid by viewing this issue as you do…I will end on a quote I hope we can agree on which is….”We can just agree to disagree”.

Holley
